Vault Professional Implementation Improves Facility Management for CMS Documentation Services
CMS Documentation Services has a biotech client with a 100,000+ square foot facility. Version tracking was a must-have requirement. The client contracted CMS Documentation Services to create a database of these files to be accessible in a centralized data repository for the facilities teams. CMS wanted to implement a digital centralized repository for easy searching of Inventor and AutoCAD files to assist facilities. They wished to implement a centralized repository for tracking versions and revisions of Inventor parts and assemblies used for replacement parts on plant equipment.
Hagerman & Company presented several options to CMS Documentation Services for this project. They chose Autodesk Vault Professional as the easiest and fastest way to achieve the project’s goals. Hagerman & Company assisted CMS Documentation Services to create custom metadata search fields, which could be extracted from Vault for the quick search for project drawings.
Implementation of Vault Professional was completed on time and on budget and the client was pleased since it saved many hours and resources for the client's facilities team. This success allowed CMS Documentation Services to expand its service offerings to their client such as 3D Laser Scanning services to help get complete as-built documentation of the facility.
