SUCCESS STORY
Vault Implementation to Centralize Design Data Management
Customer Challenge
RMZ Oilfield was established in Singapore since July 2009, by a team of oilfield experts with respective experiences in providing “a complete solution for the oilfield industry”. RMZ is a Singapore based company specialized in the design and manufacturing of oilfield equipment and an authorized Service Provider.
RMZ focused their business in Designing and Manufacturing of Oilfield Products. Their specialization is in Wellhead Pressure Control & Flow Control Equipment Completion Products, Wire-line Tools and Coiled Tubing Tools, Sub Sea Products, Recertification and Rental Services. RMZ is proud to say that their employees are some of the best experts in the field of developing oilfield equipment with extensive design and manufacturing knowledge.
When it comes to designing, it is important to address the following challenges:
1) To reduce design errors (file versioning) and increase efficiency.
2) To centralize data to connect engineering efficiently with various departments.
Project Goals
Needing to reduce product errors and improve collaboration across the Design team, RMZ turned to Autodesk’s collaboration tools in order to improve data and knowledge sharing and streamline their design processes.
Priority project goals and desired outcomes identified were as follows:
1) Fewer product errors
2) Faster processes
3) Reduction in lost documentation
4) Faster response times
Solution
The Innocom team understood what was happening and why, and offered Autodesk Vault as a potential Product Data Management (PDM) solution. The system could be easily configured and optimized to achieve RMZ's desired business outcomes and goals.
Business Outcome
“We liked that Autodesk Vault could fully integrate with our existing environment. It really was a no-brainer. We could implement Vault quickly because it required no customization. The security case was very easy to make internally—we wanted to move from Design management to a more structured and secure solution. RMZ through engagement with Innocom Technologies' professional services has enabled us to consolidate our few individual data vaults into to a standardized file structure, securities, lifecycles, categories, mappings, and workflows giving us a uniform engineering process."

Conclusion
Implementation of Autodesk Vault software as a business process automation platform has enabled RMZ to synchronize the design and business workflows. Various departments of a manufacturing organization are now able to work around the design data that flows between various users and integrates critical items and BOM and automates several business workflows customized on the Vault interface. The client has saved close to 20% of their design-to-manufacturing cycle time by streamlining Vault Product Data Management (PDM) software to remove redundant work and automate their business environment.
