Valley Precision Inc. in Waynesboro, VA is a sheet metal and machining business that serves aerospace, laboratory equipment, and electronics manufacturers with custom sheet metal and machined items. Valley Precision upgraded its machining equipment to HAAS machining centers, as well as a variety of other CNC equipment. Long term goals for Valley Precision:
1) Continue upgrade and replacement of all CNC mils to HAAS brand machines and phase out older equipment.
2) Integrate 4th axis machining, and eventually lathe programming as well.
3) Refine processes for throughput success rates and more jobs won based on lead times and prices.
Good training and FeatureCAM have made programming our milling machines straightforward and continue to help with Valley's throughput in the shop. Adding new machines will continue to add more opportunities for learning and training. ASI is always a phone call away for Valley, and not to mention only 5 minutes away so On-Site visits are not uncommon.
Valley Precision continues to grow the CNC capabilities and throughput with Autodesk FeatureCAM and support from ASI. Valley Precision can manufacture complex parts with success and continue to expand their machining options and customer base.

Virtex is an industry leading contract manufacturer. The Mid-Atlantic Division of Virtex not only manufactures electronic components but completes turnkey systems. These complex systems include both electronic and mechanical components. Virtex Mid-Atlantic perceived a market opportunity to add 5 axis machining to the capabilities of the division and increase the complexity of mechanical parts produced. To assist in this new vision, Automated Solutions (ASI) was called in to discuss options for their path moving forward.
