Using Class A Surfacing for Surface Modeling

Using Class A Surfacing for Surface Modeling

Customer challenge

Future Tech Design (FTD) has been using Autodesk Alias with their clients for almost a decade now. However, FTD had to provide the same solution in-house and was using Autodesk Products such as Alias Surface. This solution strengthens the design capabilities that they implement in every project. Converting NURBS surface data to engineering parametric workflow was a bit of a challenge to the firm in-house.

Project goals

Future Tech Design needed to adapt Alias Surface software to their workflow as a new platform and overcome the challenge of limitations in modeling capability in parametric software.

Solution

TATA ELXSI LIMITED helped Future Tech Design to find and adopt the solution for this: Alias Surface has a tool set of Class A modeling, which enables the users to utilize free form modeling by manipulating CVs and surfaces.

Business outcome

Future Tech Design purchased the Alias Surface license after exploring the free-form capabilities in Alias Surface and adopting it into their workflow.

Conclusion

Through their technical expertise in Autodesk Alias, TATA ELXSI LIMITED was able to help Future Tech Design through the product resulting in structured and clear workflows.
