Prior to implementing the Autodesk Construction Cloud, Wellspring’s construction process was handled primarily through email, and it was hard to access files in the field with a VPN. “Everything was done via email, and we used a shared drive for our files. There was so much juggling needed to perform follow-ups, create reports, and then ensure those people receive those reports and drawings,” said Sean Walters, Project Manager at Wellspring.
When Wellspring initially reached out to Autodesk, ATG was presented as an option for financing and training, which prompted them to move forward with the partnership. Soon after that, Wellspring and ATG began the training and implementation process. He took us step-by-step, answered all our questions and really made us feel confident in implementing Autodesk,” said Sean.
Wellspring’s construction process has greatly improved since implementing Autodesk Build. Now, tasks that involve reports, sheets, files, issues, cost management and more are even easier. “We are using Autodesk Build, and the field guys use PlanGrid for the mobile version. This allows everything to be done in one place, which is fantastic,” said Sean.
“If you want to keep everything organized and centralized, promote on-schedule project completion, and give access to subcontractors so they can follow along with photos, issues or RFIs, Autodesk Construction Cloud would be the way to go. In order to learn Autodesk and have good customer service on top of what Autodesk offers, ATG is the way to go.”

Implementing a New Platform for Construction
Eckardt Group was founded in 1936 and has been recognized as one of the top electrical contractors in Georgia for the past 80 years. The main challenge EG faced was integrating all data from the BIM side into Autodesk Build and learning how to use Build as their new construction software. They also needed a way to ensure their teams were staying up to date with new features and using the technology to its full capacity.

Moyer Design + Build is a small firm that designs and builds custom residential homes from start to finish. Due to team capacity and workload, it was difficult to keep up with technical work.
