Seiler Trains CRB Group Interns on Autodesk Revit

Seiler Trains CRB Group Interns on Autodesk Revit

Customer challenge

Over 20 summer Engineering/Architect interns were starting with no Revit training or knowledge for CRB Group. John Offield, from Autodesk Solution Provider Seiler Design Solutions, performed in-person Revit training for the CRB Group with a customized training outline, and our company standards were outlined as well.

Project goals

At the completion of the training, the interns were able to use Autodesk Revit to perform specific assigned tasks from their respective disciplines. They contributed to the overall project completion, and gained important skills to improve performance.

Solution

Autodesk BIM 360 was used to host the training model. Revit 2020 was the platform for the training. Seiler Design Solutions traveled to the CRB Group's KC office and performed 4 days of training.

Business outcome

Over 20 interns were trained and can now perform discipline specific tasks for 3D modeling and deign to help project teams complete design work.

Conclusion

John was willing to work with our team to create a specific training outline and incorporate our company standards into the training. He has done similar training for us before. He is very knowledgeable with Revit and he is a good trainer. He is thorough with each training item and session.

We also provided a training project in BIM 360 with copies of actual project models so the trainees would better understand the types of projects they would be working in as they are assigned project work. All stakeholders were in the same room and going through interactive training together. Content was reviewed as necessary to make sure everyone was understanding and keeping up in the models. He kept the groups engaged and attentive.
