Customer challenge

The project has two companies as protagonists: 2D to 6D by Neri Lorenzetto Bologna - which owns the goal of implementing BIM in all sectors – and Leitner SPA - a worldwide leading company in the design and construction of cableways. The project was developed to ensure the cableway connection between the ski areas of "Cortina d'Ampezzo" and "5 Torri". It involves the construction of two cable cars and automatic coupling connected to each other with an intermediate passage station.

Project goals

The Employer Information Requirements (E.I.R.) of the contracting authority provided for the use of ACDat for the management of the entire order. Given the use of Autodesk Revit by designers and the particular historical moment of the start of the project (the first months of the pandemic), it was suggested to adopt a second solution completely in the cloud (Autodesk BIM 360). The new solution would offer the following advantages: ● reduction of coordination meetings within the team; ● continuous availability of the latest version of the information models approved by the respective coordinators; ● possibility to make revisions directly in the cloud with a federated model

The following Autodesk solutions were implemented: 1. BIM 360, especially BIM 360 Collaborate Pro, to improve the team's work 2. Navisworks for enabling the check for interference 3. Revit and Civil 3D for the design and production of tables and calculations
