Easy and Centralized Collaboration with Subcontractors with BIM 360

Customer Challenge

TEAMBUILD ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. was facing challenges when working with subcontractors. They needed to find a solution to work simultaneously on one single file on cloud and overcome problems with objects being removed accidentally by other sub cons. It was crucial to have an option to prevent users from one discipline to erase objects in other work sets and also improve on a centralized file exchange method.

Project Goals

Our team at INNOCOM TECHNOLOGIES helped TEAMBUILD ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION to find, implement and deploy the right solution. Our goal was to help them with the move to Autodesk BIM 360 for a centralized collaboration with sub cons, electronic files exchange and file tracking submission.

Solution

Autodesk BIM 360 is a much needed centralized information platform where all the information regarding Architecture projects including different disciplines such as Structural Engineering can be shared with all of the team and even subcontractors, that are participating in such projects.

Business Outcome

After implementation, TEAMBUILD ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION improved their collaboration with subcontractors and are now able to: 1. Access BIM files for reviewing on smartphone, tablet and PC 2. Interact with models without needing an app, just by accessing from any browser for Mark-ups and comment sharing 3. Share and manage project data throughout the project lifecycle with a central workspace in the cloud (hub) for their projects
