Customer Challenge

Getabec uses AutoCAD Plant 3D to design their Boilers. The library of AutoCAD Plant 3D is very diverse; there are many items for pipeline design that are suitable for their work. They had difficulty using the AutoCAD Plant 3D. AutoCAD Plant 3D runs 3D graphics design a bit slow due to many details designed on one model. Besides, AutoCAD Plant 3D does not have tools to check conflicts in design. In creating mechanical elements like connectors and elbows, Getabec had to use other software.

Getabec set the goal for each project to be completed ahead of schedule, with optimal design, and optimized at the time of updating revisions from the Design Department to the Field.

VietCAD Technicians have consulted with Getabec and recommended Autodesk's complete solution: Product Design & Manufacturing Collection (PDMC). Getabec have now used this solution quite effectively. They design pipelines by AutoCAD Plant 3D, used Inventor for detailed mechanical designs, and Navisworks Manage to check conflicts.

Business Outcome

AutoCAD Plant 3D has a good library for oil, gas, and the liquefied gas industry. Its tank library has helped Getabec Engineers save design time. PDMC includes Navisworks and Inventor to help them optimize software purchase costs. They shortened the project completion time. Their design prices are also now lower than other ones. They efficiently perform more project work.

AutoCAD Plant 3D is software specialized in design and modeling in the oil, gas, and liquefied gas industries and fields related to the machining and installation of piping systems.
