Success Story
AECOM UK&I Roads continue to enter into service delivery agreements with Cadline as a result of Cadlines proactive approach to drive more project / role based training across the business. Stephen McDonald, AECOM BIM Lead, EUR – UK & Ireland engaged Cadline to scope and deliver training and development services to continue to support the adoption of 3D technologies across the UK&I Roads division following the success of both the company wide programme of learning and development as well as the more recent advanced specialisation training within the highways team at the AECOM office in Glasgow, UK.
The goal of the project was to continue to level up staff and to continue the advance toward a complete model-based approach to delivering projects within the UK&I roads division. This phase of the project has focused on nurturing new talent and exposing them to a model-based delivery approach using advanced Infrastructure tools to increase their productivity and efficiency.
Cadline worked with Stephen McDonald, AECOM BIM Lead, EUR – UK & Ireland to develop a role based training programme and relevant course content for new users that was specific to AECOM UK&I Roads requirements. It was important the content was accessible to beginners and would provide users with sufficient knowledge and skills to progress their journey toward delivering model-based projects alongside the rest of the team.
The process was complimented with access to a dedicated Customer Success Manager with a focus on supporting Infrastructure clients to adopt tools and technologies that are right for their business as well as access to our ISO accredited support helpdesk to ensure continued technical support.
By continuing to invest in people AECOM UK&I roads nurture and retain talent capable of developing and promoting model-based design that increases project efficiency and ensures quality deliverables are maintained throughout their projects.
The outcome of the project was to ensure a quality model-based deliverable would continue to be achieved by providing training and development to a selection of new and existing Autodesk users across the UK&I Roads team. This would contribute toward their model-based approach remaining accessible for all staff to engage with.
AECOM remain at the forefront of the industry by continuing to develop and nurture new and existing talent. Having already transitioned to a model-based design approach AECOM continue to progress and develop the talent within their organisation and ensure staff continue to have the skills required to deliver projects that exceed their client expectations.

Optimising Visual Project Planning with Navisworks
Yara Technology and Projects (YTP) main focus is to develop Yara operations, support Yara's vision to feed the world and deliver roadmaps and projects towards climate-neutral solutions. With so many projects being worldwide, Yara needed to evaluate constructability issues that may arise during projects. Yara use Microsoft Project and Primavera to set up project schedules, material availability and often face the challenge of getting the required tools to remote locations.

Driving Innovation in Design and Engineering
Warren Services is a Norfolk-based family-run engineering and manufacturing business, employing 115 people across two sites. Its capabilities extend from dynamic head water jet® cutting; EDM wire eroding and laser profiling to computer numerical control (CNC) milling and turning, through fabrication and finishing and electrical assembly and testing. Warren Services is proud of its record of providing high-quality manufacturing of components and mechanical/electrical sub-assemblies to agreed schedules, offering turnkey solutions in engineering and design. Autodesk software has long played a key role in its processes and workflows. The company initially took the decision to self-learn and implement the technology itself, using its own internal resource but, over time, ongoing engagement with Autodesk Solution Provider, Cadline, has paid dividends in ensuring Warren Services gains optimum value from its investment.
