BIM to the Construction Site Along With BIM Quality Management
"Making our engineers aware of what they are doing was the main reason for me to implement BIM 360 Build at PENDIK Projects," says Spencer Hellegering, head of the Projects department at the Veenendaal-based installer. Originally founded in 2006, PENDIK is a service company. With around 8,000 to 10,000 service contracts, mainly through housing associations and property managers, PENDIK was particularly strong in responding to complaints and reports.
Setting up a Projects Department within an originally service-oriented company was quite a challenge. Hellegering: "The working method of a service company is very different. As a service company, you need different knowledge of installation technology than you do for new construction and renovation projects. The staff have to start thinking differently. We used to go to a leak and fix it. But now we have to make sure it doesn't leak!" PENDIK now employs around 40 people, 20 of whom work in the Projects Department.
Communication on site via BIM 360
As one of the largest construction companies in Flanders, MBG stands out for its sense of innovation. In order to optimise their complex Design and Build projects, MBG is investing heavily in the digitisation of their building sites. With Autodesk BIM 360, they have a powerful tool that makes 'bimming' on the building site more accessible and easier. It was a very difficult task to manage their complex product portfolio. Each product range represents more than 800 pages of information. There was no clear view on the data from the start of product development through the final delivery. As a result, valuable data was scattered around in different IT-systems.

Warhorse Studios' Successful Computer Game - Kingdom Come: Deliverance
The Prague-based development studio was founded in 2011 by a handful of intrepid veterans of the Czech game industry. Their first title, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, a gritty medieval RPG with combat elements set in a realistic historical setting, was released on February 13, 2018 to a rapturous reception from critics and gamers around the world. For the architecture of the buildings in the game, they get conceptual sketches and illustrations of the models and they needed to create their own in-game models, mainly with tile textures.

EVektor is an international company and belongs among the leading development and manufacturing companies which are active in the aircraft industry of the Czech Republic. Besides aviation, EVektor has extensive development activities in the area of automotive and mechanical engineering industry. Their studio of industrial design has longstanding experience with the design of aircraft and car interiors, as well as with a number of design concepts of new machines and equipment. PFX was founded a couple of years ago as a small studio specializing in visual effects and 3D animation. To make projects shine, the RJ Group is able to capitalize on 49 years of know-how, particularly in the field of welding (oil, pressure vessels, nuclear, etc.) and machining (aeronautics, space, energy, etc.), validated by numerous certifications at the various RJ Group sites, such as ISO 9001, EN 9100, MASE, EN 1090, and more.
Utilization of InfraWorks in Project Visualization
Tampere is the second-largest urban area and third most-populous individual municipality in Finland, after the cities of Helsinki and Espoo and the most populous Finnish city outside the Greater Helsinki area, within which both Helsinki and Espoo are located. Today, Tampere is one of the major urban, economic, and cultural hubs in the whole inland region.
"We have used Autodesk InfraWorks software to visualize urban service and land use planning, sketching and displaying plans at design meetings or residents' events. From the market demand, Terberg Total Installations (hereinafter called 'Terberg') is increasingly asked to participate in a BIM process. More is expected than just a 3D model from which drawings are distilled. The demand for optimization and integration of BIM within the processes of Terberg comes on the one hand from management and on the other hand from the project leaders who manage their own project team and are responsible for the generation of work. In this way, project leaders are active in an entrepreneurial way and they encounter the demand for a BIM approach more and more often. One can therefore speak of a very concrete reason for implementing BIM.
Orangeworks is specialized in designing and realizing equipment for the food processing industry: from production and storage solutions up to and including complete production lines. Each bill of materials is unique which results in a challenge during the purchasing and production process. In every design phase or release cycle, a new or updated parts list needs to be submitted to the ERP system.
As a result, long lead items are pushed to the ERP system relatively late, only when engineers have finished their design. As a result, for example, the company ordered long lead items relatively late. They also really wanted their own production to get started at an earlier stage. Once the Engineering Bill of Material is released, their work planners have to schedule manufacturing operations and sequence for a production order. GIS solution for a district heating provider
SZEPHO is one of the most reputable market participants among district heating providers in Hungary, achieved this with his innovative approach.
It has been cooperating with us in technological development and IT digitalization since its inception. The first step was to develop a digital technical register for e-utility data provision 5-6 years ago. Since then, the Autodesk AutoCAD Map3D-based complex CityScape District Heating system - introduced at SZEPHO - has gained a high reputation in the sector, and this is one of the reasons why this year our company get the main district heating award in Hungary.

Forge-based Product Configurator
Today’s increasing demand for product customization represents a substantial shift from mass manufacturing to manufacturing for a market of one. Manufacturing companies face imminent pressure to provide vast arrays of singularly specific products, components, and machines. Customers expect to easily customize their orders with full confidence that the goods they are choosing fit their needs. Plus, they want their products to be cost-effective, simple to order, and quick to deliver.
Typical 2D, paper-based ordering processes often fall short in the ability to provide rapid, flexible configuration. Time is wasted on inefficient communications, errors result in costly component remodeling, order processes are delayed, and product prices are incorrectly estimated. Manufacturers are increasingly turning to 3D models in attempts to refine and expedite the custom ordering process, but the creation of basic 3D models is time consuming.
MASAM - specialized in machining of complex parts and precise metal products manufacturing - needed to increase productivity of his existing CAM solution. As this company competes in a demanding industry (aerospace, automotive, space), they wanted to manufacture more precise products, faster and with less collisions.
Integration of CAD/PDM with ERP
B&P Engineering wanted to have a solution that would replace an existing custom made application which enables Autodesk Inventor for automatic Bill Of Materials (BOMs) generation. Because of a change of ERP system, the old application became very slow and unstable. XLS exchange format also created many problems during import to the ERP system. It slowed down data preparation and transfer to production. Often, because of automatic solution failure, the process had to be done manually. As a result, B&P Engineering faced production process delays and was facing a risk of revenue decreases.
CAD/PDM Solution Helping Designers to Share Data
Fermat is a leading producer of horizontal boring and milling machines with worldwide operations. This customer needed to manage his 2D and 3D CAD data to handle concurrent product development in two locations, and connect product data to his ERP system. His data was previously shared just on a common network disk, product data was retyped between CAD and ERP. This leads to many errors and mistyping. Designers were rewriting data in wrong versions.
