Implementing a New Platform for Construction
Eckardt Group was founded in 1936 and has been recognized as one of the top electrical contractors in Georgia for the past 80 years. The main challenge EG faced was integrating all data from the BIM side into Autodesk Build and learning how to use Build as their new construction software. They also needed a way to ensure their teams were staying up to date with new features and using the technology to its full capacity.
Connecting VC, Fabrication & Construction Workflows
NOX Innovations is dedicated to helping contractors scale, adapt and maintain their agility in an ever-changing market. Due to company growth, Corbins Electric, the sister company of NOX Innovations, needed a way to bridge gaps and inefficiencies and tie their VC, fabrication and construction workflows together. They were using their own project management software, but it didn’t connect to the cloud and their virtual construction workflows.
“We had our own internal project management software that we developed over the years, but it didn’t connect to BIM 360 Docs, model coordination and all the other things we use for the VC side of things,” said Tony Anderson, VC Innovations Specialist. Tony has been with Corbins Electric for 25 years and has worked in the virtual construction department for 10 years.
Accelerating Civil 3D with a Unique Hardware Solution
CrossRoad Engineers was established in 1995 with a goal to create a family-oriented business rather than a large corporate firm. Exclusively in Indiana, they specialize in transportation design, site development, surveying and right-of-way management, working closely with the Indiana DOT. The main challenge CrossRoad Engineers faced was slowing performance in Civil 3D on the Dell computers they were using. “Over the past few years, we were experiencing performance issues with day-to-day Civil 3D tasks and 3D scanning. We were reluctant to continue buying Dell machines because we were only seeing marginal improvements,” said Andrew Wolf, Vice President of CrossRoad Engineers.
Helping a Small Firm Stay Ahead of Deadlines
Moyer Design + Build is a small firm that designs and builds custom residential homes from start to finish. Due to team capacity and workload, it was difficult to keep up with technical work. Moyer Design reached out to ATG for production services assistance. “ATG helped facilitate the process and push into construction documents to get a lot of the bulk work done that we didn’t have time for,” said Jeb Moyer, Owner of Moyer Design.
Developing a Successful AEC Partnership with ATG + Hensel Phelps
Hensel Phelps is a Colorado-based construction firm that strives to deliver excellence to their clients through development, construction and facility services. Back in 2017, Hensel Phelps needed help with a civil project that was beyond their capabilities. Through recommendations from industry partners, Hensel Phelps discovered ATG’s Team Augmentation Services (now Production Services). Fast forward to today, Hensel Phelps continues to utilize ATG’s services for Revit and Civil 3D template development, consulting services, model aggregation and help with controlling their RFI process.
Building Team Confidence with Revit Template Creation
Rottet Studio is a leading international architecture and interior design firm that offers many services, including renovation, building and interior design, landscaping and more. Michael Au, Associate Principal at Rottet, is the firm-wide technical director and practice manager for the design studio. “When our firm needed to transition from an AutoCAD-dominate firm to a Revit-dominate firm, we had to create goals and formulate a plan of attack to transition our office to Revit,” said Michael.
Providing Solutions to Grow a Long-Standing Partnership
Butler Design Group (BDG) is an architectural firm in Phoenix, AZ dedicated to creating design solutions for their client’s functional, aesthetic and budgetary needs. Through partnership with ATG, BDG realized the value of working with a reseller and utilized ATG for support, training and software licensing. BDG needed ATG to develop custom training, resolve licensing issues and provided support to ultimately grow the long-standing partnership.
Providing Reliable and Proactive Account Management
Founded in 1984, JK Architecture Engineering (JKAE) is a leading-edge architectural design firm offering expertise and sophistication within an intimate design studio atmosphere. When Charlie Swanton, ATG Account Executive, reached out to Anda Grenfell, Director of Business Services at JKAE, they were currently working with a different Autodesk reseller. “We were experiencing some unreliability with our reseller at the time. Their customer support and response times were very slow,” said Anda.
Empowering Small AEC Firms
VSM Engineering, LLC is a certified DBE, WBE and SLBE professional civil engineering firm that provides general civil engineering services for capital projects to clients in public and private sectors. VSM decided to make the switch to ATG from another reseller due to the lack of personalization and training resources. "We previously paid $1000 for training with another reseller, which was a lot of money for my firm of seven."
Eliminating Repetitive Tasks to Accelerate Workflows in Food Industry
Tyson Foods, Inc., based in Springdale, Arkansas, was founded in 1935 with a goal to deliver quality chicken and build strong relationships with independent farms across America. The drafting team at Tyson Foods, Inc. needed a way to streamline workflows and eliminate repetitive tasks within Revit. "We weren't as productive as we could have been, so that's what made us seek out help with Dynamo," said Sara Hedge, Specialist Drafting.
