“Collaborative design on a global scale” – How Cadline and Autodesk software supported Broadway Malyan
Broadway Malyan is a forward-thinking global architecture and design practice with around ten design studios worldwide, and more than 300 employees in total. It has worked with Cadline for two decades, and over the years the relationship has transformed into a partnership focused on the two companies working collaboratively together to achieve common goals. The practice has fully integrated Autodesk AutoCAD into their design process and has deployed the Autodesk Architecture, Engineering & Construction Collection to give access to the full suite of design tools. As BIM has extended its reach into the world of Architecture, Broadway Malyan increasingly engaged with model-based design using Autodesk® Revit®, Autodesk Civil 3D®, Autodesk Navisworks® and Autodesk 3ds Max.The team at Broadway Malyan aimed to further globalize its digital delivery process in the shape of building information modelling (BIM) and engaged us to identify the systems, processes and skills it needed to put in place.
Optimizing Triple E's Design & Data Management Process
Cadline was introduced to Triple E because of the work it has carried out with the National Theatre, the Royal Opera House and the Welsh National Opera amongst other projects.Triple E was therefore keen to engage with Cadline and the two companies met to review Triple E’s design and data management process. The focus was on evaluating how Triple E operates from the beginning of a project through to delivery as well as understanding all their pain points and challenges throughout that process.Cadline focused on identifying key areas of improvements that could be made to the way designers at Triple E were managing and sharing their project data across internal and extended teams. As part of its review, Cadline captured the time and cost of existing manual effort. In order to quantify the manual effort expended by Triple E in managing its data, Cadline created an online survey which was completed to capture activities and challenges from its existing data management process.
Optimising Visual Project Planning with Navisworks
Yara Technology and Projects (YTP) main focus is to develop Yara operations, support Yara's vision to feed the world and deliver roadmaps and projects towards climate-neutral solutions. With so many projects being worldwide, Yara needed to evaluate constructability issues that may arise during projects. Yara use Microsoft Project and Primavera to set up project schedules, material availability and often face the challenge of getting the required tools to remote locations.

Driving Innovation in Design and Engineering
Warren Services is a Norfolk-based family-run engineering and manufacturing business, employing 115 people across two sites. Its capabilities extend from dynamic head water jet® cutting; EDM wire eroding and laser profiling to computer numerical control (CNC) milling and turning, through fabrication and finishing and electrical assembly and testing. Warren Services is proud of its record of providing high-quality manufacturing of components and mechanical/electrical sub-assemblies to agreed schedules, offering turnkey solutions in engineering and design. Autodesk software has long played a key role in its processes and workflows. The company initially took the decision to self-learn and implement the technology itself, using its own internal resource but, over time, ongoing engagement with Autodesk Solution Provider, Cadline, has paid dividends in ensuring Warren Services gains optimum value from its investment.
Connecting Design Teams To Support Business Growth
The design team at Cova Security Gates was already a long-standing user of Autodesk product design technology, with Inventor and AutoCAD Electrical core to the organisation’s product development workflows. However, due to the company’s success and expansion, Cova were starting to outgrow current practices and needed to make a step-change in the way design data is managed. Robust processes for revision management and release approval were in place but were largely manual, with significant scope for improved efficiencies through automation. Furthermore, the connection between the mechanical and electrical project data was limited, leading to issues with version control. Finally, the global pandemic had highlighted the need for a centralised data management system that could be easily accessed inside and outside the office with consistent performance regardless of the user’s location.
Driving Efficiencies Within Road Design Projects using Autodesk Civil 3D
The highways team at the AECOM office in Glasgow, UK had found success in adopting Autodesk Civil 3D to deliver better projects more efficiently, following a companywide programme of learning and development. However, it identified a number of areas that would benefit from the further development of specific workflows, content and training to deliver additional efficiencies and standardised ways of working. David Lewis, the Cadline Customer Success Manager (CSM) assigned to the team, prepared a plan that allowed the team to undertake a series of activities that would deliver the targeted improvements and support additional service offerings.
Developing Processes and Capability with Autodesk Infrastructure Technology at Gattica Associates
The utilities team had an established working knowledge of Civil 3D, Navisworks and other Autodesk products having attended multiple levels of training courses; however, when applying these technologies to their projects it was acknowledged that delivering the output should be more efficient. Principal CAD Technician, Mihaela Gafita, and BIM Coordinator, Rocío Martín Durán, reached out to Cadline to understand how to make the application of the Autodesk technologies more effective and how to meet their project-specific requirements more efficiently. By taking a consultative approach to exploring the current working practices David Lewis, the Cadline Customer Success Manager (CSM), reviewed their processes and prepared a plan that allowed the team to undertake a series of activities that would deliver targeted improvements and support additional service offerings. He provided guidance that supported the implementation of more effective workflows based on Gattica’s existing licences.
PLM That Connects People, Processes and Data: How Autodesk and Cadline helped Brigade Electronics Achieve Project Efficiency
Many of the company’s projects start with a new idea – the need, for example, for a sensor system capable of predicting future collisions and enabling the user to take action to avoid them. To make this process as efficient as possible, Brigade Electronics is focused on streamlining operational procedures and working practices. It identified the need to both enhance visibility over live projects and to restructure its new product introduction (NPI) process. At the same time, it wanted to move away from siloed, linear ways of working to reduce project delays, improve supply chain collaboration and more accurately meet customer delivery dates. In doing all this, Brigade Electronics was also looking to reduce manual working and eliminate tasks that did not contribute to core business goals.
Bringing Machining In-house: How Cadline Helped Husqvarna Take Control
Husqvarna chose to work with Autodesk Platinum Partner, Cadline, to support it in optimizing use of Autodesk CAM and Advanced Materials Analysis software and to provide training on the software. The challenge for Husqvarna was that historically it outsourced much of its tooling work to third parties, but it was running into delays with timelines not being met and the cost of outsourcing electrodes, including associated transport charges. All this meant Husqvarna was incurring significant expenses on an ongoing basis and the approach was also causing issues with project timelines. To address these concerns, it decided to invest in a Hurco VMX Series- 3 Axis Performance CNC Machine and to bring its tooling capabilities in-house.
Collaborating in the Cloud to Deliver Enhanced Data Management: How Autodesk Construction Cloud Software is Driving Efficiencies for E+I Engineering
E & I Engineering has traditionally used a combination of Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit BIM (Building Information Modelling) software to carry out design work. It uses Revit primarily because it has established itself as industry-standard design software and also because BIM capability is now being asked for as a qualifier onto projects by many of its customers. Working within a Common Data Environment (CDE) has become increasingly important for E & I. The company has been quick to transition away from paper-based processes and siloed ways of working. It was looking for a CDE that would enable it to access data from anywhere at any time and build a truly collaborative environment. That need has become still more urgent since the pandemic struck, with the advent of Covid forcing people to work from home. E & I Engineering estimates that 50-60% of projects it is involved in today use Autodesk Construction Cloud, so it made sense to adopt it both for projects and for its own internal use.
BPHA Turns to Cadline and Autodesk BIM 360 Docs to Help Compliance on New High-Rise Block Refurbishment Project
BPHA is committed to providing its customers with high-quality, value for money services whilst continuing to develop more, new affordable homes. BPHA owns or manages over 19,000 homes. It is now embarking on an exciting new regeneration project which aims to improve and enhance a number of their tower blocks in Bedford. The project was first conceived in 2015, when BPHA consulted with residents to discuss the condition of the tower blocks and where improvements to the external fabric of the buildings and communal areas could be made. Following on from these discussions a complete review took place of 856 homes across 6 separate sites in Bedford. It was then identified areas in which could be invested to improve the longevity and desirability of the tower blocks. The project not only aims to repair the buildings but transform the communities in which the homes are situated. Improving communal spaces and providing a safe and desirable environment for our residents to live in.
Keeping the Show on the Road: How Cadline has Helped PitStop Productions put its Autodesk Subscriptions in Order
For years, PitStop Productions has been using Autodesk Maya, the 3D modeling, simulation and rendering solution, for visual effects and animation work. Recent years have seen some significant changes in how licences are provided for Autodesk software. Perpetual licences have gone to be replaced by subscriptions. When PitStop Productions first engaged with leading Autodesk Reseller Cadline, it was looking for guidance and an explanation of how the new approach to licensing worked. Cadline was able to draw on its expertise around the solutions and strategy of Autodesk to provide this, explaining to PitStop Productions not only how subscriptions worked but also their many benefits. PitStop Productions was quick to switch to the new approach, taking out an annual subscription to Autodesk Maya. It soon started to reap the rewards, in terms of enhanced versatility, flexibility and scalability. Being able to scale up and down depending on demand was especially key to PitStop Productions.
Delivering CNC Automation in Production: Reduce Time to Value and Drive Efficiencies Across CNC Machining Processes
Platinum Autodesk Partner Cadline had previously typically engaged with the design and engineering functions at Edwards rather than the shop floor. This was now starting to change. In the early days of this new engagement, Cadline worked closely with Autodesk to understand Edwards’ specific requirements. This process includes a full review of their computer numerical control (CNC) production facilities to establish what machining was being utilised and the manual tasks that were being performed. This included gaining a detailed understanding of their existing software being used at the time, their production set-up, and machining workflows.

Streamlining Data and Product Lifecycle Management: How Standardising on Autodesk Software Transformed the Design and Engineering Workflow for one Energy Sec...
For most bespoke Solution Providers working in the offshore energy sector, it is important to put in place end-to-end processes and workflows that cover data management and design and engineering and deliver operational efficiency and business agility. For one such provider, these were the key drivers behind a decision to migrate their whole approach in this area to one based on Autodesk software solutions and supported by Autodesk Solution Provider, Cadline. The provider had previously relied on a single legacy data management system, based on aging technology with little provision for wider process management. It decided to migrate to a fully integrated data management and process lifecycle management (PLM) system robust and resilient enough to manage its working processes but agile enough to support rapid changes in response to shifting business requirements. It went out to market and ran a thorough review of available software solutions.
