Searching for and reusing CAD and items in Upchain

Module overview

Here, we take everything we’ve learned from the previous three modules and apply them to some common use cases, including finding and addressing your assignments, copying a design for reuse in another project, and searching for items to insert into your design.

This content takes approximately 40 minutes to complete. By the end, you should be able to:

• Access CAD files from assignments.
• Copy CAD data and item attributes from one item to another for design reuse.
• Search for an item using a Quick search and Advanced Search.
• Insert an item from the search results into your assembly and resolve cBOM/eBOM anomalies.
