Managing rebar numbers and partitions

What I mean by that is if we're going to add Rebar to a model,

we might as well assign an automatic number and location

of where we're placing that reinforcing.

What I'd do in this video is add some path

reinforcing to a slab.

From there, we'll assign a number

to the reinforcing and also a location

that Revit likes to call a partition.

Let's jump into it.

I'd like to open my medical center parking garage.

In the project browser, let's make

sure we're under Structural Plans.

I'm going to go down to level two.

Go to the Structure tab.

Under the Reinforcement panel, click the Path button.

Next, we want to select the slab that we're going

to put the path reinforcing in.

Rebar shape definitions will include hooks

and will ignore end treatments.

On the Draw panel, click Pick Lines.

So click on the little flip path reinforcement button.

Now, notice on the Draw panel, the Pick Lines button

So what we want to do before we click Finish,

we need to make sure we have a partition name.

So what we're doing is saying, OK, this group of Rebar

is in this one specific spot in our project.
