Course modules
Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a complex subject. That does not mean it needs to be a complex process. Having a good BIM execution plan will help you better coordinate designs across disciplines and reduce design errors. Learn what you should consider as you develop your BIM execution plan.
The focus of this module is discussing and establishing project delivery guidelines. These guidelines will serve as a framework for stakeholder delivery and collaboration expectations. In this module, learn to utilize BIM Collaborate Pro to reinforce these standards guidelines.
3D coordination is a process in which clash detection software is used during the coordination process to reduce field conflicts before they happen by comparing 3D models. Any good BIM Execution plan should address how a design team should work through clashes in their models. It should be very clear to everyone what processes they should follow and what each person’s role and responsibility is. That plan should outline what inputs/outputs the team should expect and how the tool they use should be configured.
