Create reference plans and dimensional constraints - Exercise

1. Navigate to the Left Elevation view.
   
   
2. Notice there are 2 Reference Planes: a Central Vertical plane and a Central Horizontal plane.
   
   
3. On the Create tab of the ribbon, Datum panel, select Reference Plane. Add an additional 4 Horizontal and 4 Vertical planes, as per the image below. Exact placement is not critical currently.
   
   
4. On the Annotate tab of the Ribbon under Dimensions, select Aligned. Create a string of dimensions between the top, middle, and bottom reference line, clicking the EQ icon once placed. Do the same for the Left, Middle, and Right, and inner Left, Middle, and Right.
   
   
5. Place a dimension between the top and bottom planes, as shown below.
   
   
6. Select the dimension. From the Modify ribbon, click on the dropdown on the Label Dimension tab and select Height.
   
   
   
7. Repeat for the Width, Flange Thickness, and Web Thickness, as below.
   
   
8. Click File > Save.
