One of the benefits to computational design is the ability to consistently apply design logic across a variety of conditions. One way to do this is through the use of design patterns. A design pattern is a repeatable solution to a common design problem. In this module, we will look at how to create your own design patterns using Dynamo.
This module takes approximately 20 minutes to complete. By the end of this module, you should be able to:
- Define the logic of a design pattern using computational design terms.
- Generate a pattern sequence using basic Dynamo nodes.
- Create a sequence of points in Dynamo based on the pattern.
- Insert a series of Revit families into a model using a list of points.
