Course modules

~30 min.
Integrated Factory Modeling Overview
Module

This module teaches you the fundamentals and core concepts of Integrated Factory Modeling and how utilizing one integrated factory model can drive efficiencies during the factory layout process. You will learn what are the core tools associated with Integrated Factory Modeling, what options exist for advanced coordination, and what is the impact on your factory planning and optimization projects.

~20 min.
Implementation of Autodesk Factory Design Utilities for Administrators
Module

There are a wide variety of factory layout workflows that are supported by the Autodesk Factory Design Utilities. Some factory design workflows are completed in simple 2D drawings utilizing just AutoCAD.  Some workflows utilize AutoCAD and Inventor to produce 3D Layouts.  More advanced workflows also include large-scale digital mockups developed in Navisworks.  The data management of all these workflows is accomplished by utilizing Vault Professional. In this module, you will learn how set up your software to work with and support the Autodesk Factory Design Utilities.

~20 min.
Simplify Command in Inventor
Module

This module teaches you how you can access the Simplify command inside Inventor and begin to apply the basic and advanced features to control the complexity of an assembly model. You will learn how to launch the Simplify command, apply various parameters to simplify the assembly model, and select the best output format for your application.

~20 min.
Creating Factory Assets in Inventor
Module

In this module, you will learn the process for creating parametric factory assets for use with the Autodesk Factory Design Utilities. This starts with reviewing the parametric model in Inventor, then preparing the asset in the asset publishing environment before testing and publishing it to a central asset library.
