The focus of this module is GIS data. Many projects begin and end with the utilization of GIS data. In this module, we will explore the many options of using, editing and analyzing GIS data within Autodesk Civil 3D. Join us as we explore the new Autodesk Connector for ArcGIS, the planning and analysis tools that Civil 3D has to offer and then export Civil and AutoCAD data out to a GIS format.
The focus of this module is the many methods of stylizing and labeling GIS data within Civil 3D. We will work directly with the GIS connected data and extract valuable information for our project designs. Creating themed data, label based on GIS attributes.
Component roads provide several advantages. One is the mathematical foundations that ensure you do not lay out a road or bridge that is mathematically impossible to create. Second is that the horizontal and vertical design of the roads are automatically converted to alignments and profiles when the InfraWorks model is opened in Civil 3D. In this module, you lay out the conceptual road alignment and bridge location using InfraWorks Component Roads.
