CAM for Designers and Engineers

Overview

In this learning path, you will learn how to design a better manufacturable component, the fundamentals of CNC machining, explore CAM software, and practice Inventor CAM right in your CAD package. You will learn the following skills:

• Understand the modern state of CNC machining
• List types of milling tools, holders and climb/conventional strategies
• Understand speeds/feeds, types of work holding and datums
• Locate other learning resources about CNC Machining
• Locate and understand the CAM workflow in Inventor
• Setup the job
• Generate toolpaths
• Simulate machining and prevent collisions
